Delete your FAB Doctor account
Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data. This page explains how to request deletion, what is removed, and what we must retain by law.
Who this is for
This applies to users of the FAB Doctor apps (Android and iOS) and the web application at app.fabdoc.in, operated by FAB Doctor. Because FAB Doctor is used by clinics where records are shared across a team, deletion requests are verified before they are actioned so one user cannot remove a clinic's shared data by mistake.
How to request deletion
You can request deletion in either of these ways:
- In the app (fastest): open Profile → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and personal data directly from within the app — no request needed.
- Using the form below on this page, or by emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". Use this if you can no longer sign in to the app.
We will confirm your request by email and may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed.
Clinic owners: to protect patients, in-app deletion will first ask you to transfer ownership to another team member (so a clinic's shared records aren't orphaned). If you want the entire clinic and its records closed and deleted, use the form below or email [email protected] and we'll handle it.
What is deleted
Once verified, we permanently delete the following within 30 days:
- Your user account and login credentials (name, email, phone, password).
- Profile and preference data associated with your account.
- Where you are the clinic owner requesting closure of the clinic: patient records, clinical notes, treatment plans, prescriptions, uploaded documents and images (X-rays, photos) belonging to that clinic.
- Push-notification identifiers linked to your devices.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records must be retained after deletion to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep only what the law requires, and no longer:
- Financial and GST records — invoices, receipts, credit notes and related transaction data are retained for up to 8 years as required under Indian tax and company law (including the GST Act and the Companies Act, 2013), after which they are deleted.
- Backups — residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation cycle, within 90 days of deletion.
- We do not retain your data for advertising or resale, and we do not sell personal data.
For full details of how we handle personal and sensitive data, see our Privacy Policy.
